Special Note: Purchasing Wright Hydraulic Pumps.
Pumps are not identified by which side of the unit they are installed on.
Example:
These two pumps are identified as right 31490004 and left 31490005.
How they are identified is by the location of the Return to neutral mechanism (RTN) when installed on the unit.
In some cases the 31490004 is on the right side of a unit (current large frame stander) and in
others it is on the left side of the unit (current small frame stander). The same applies to the
31490005.
Looking at a unit from the operators position with the relief valve facing you:
The 31490004 has the RTN on the right
The 31490005 has the RTN on the left.
The hydro gear numbers differ also: 31490004 pr-1hqq-DN1X-xxxx right side RTN
31490005 pr-1hqq-DP1X-xxxx left side RTN
Another method of identification for out of unit pumps is with the pump upside down (input shaft pointing up) and the high pressure ports facing you the location of the RTN will identify which pump it is: if the RTN is on the right 31490004, if the RTN is on the left it is a 31490005.
